On Call Floating Armed Security Officer
Part Time • Sentry Force Headquarters (Tidewater)
We are seeking reliable and experienced VA Armed Security Officers to become an integral part of our team. The selected individuals will patrol and secure assigned premises as well as identify risks to staff and patrons. The pay rate for these positions is $22.00 per hour. This position will require for the candidate to be "On Call". The candidate which is need is to help cover Shipyard Security and DMV (Department of Motor Vehicle) Security fill in. The candidate will need to be flexible and work day or night shifts depending on the needs of the clients.
Responsibilities:
Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security
Warn violators of premise rules and regulations
Apprehend or expel persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts
Report any facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes
Request emergency personnel for high risk situations

Qualifications:
Must have a current and valid armed VA DCJS license.
TWIC Card is required for the position.
Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or other related fields
Familiarity with security equipment
Ability to handle physical workload
Strong attention to detail
